MicroSOME - SOME/IP Stack for Ethernet-Enabled Automotive ECU's
MicroSOME is a lightweight, pure C SOME/IP stack for resource-constrained automotive ECU's, bringing Ethernet-based, service-oriented communication to MCU-class platforms.
Two Deployment Options
Edge Nodes
Service-oriented communication for resource-constrained sensor and actuator nodes. MicroSOME brings native SOME/IP communication to MCUs that cannot carry a full Linux stack - without compromising on capabilities.
Zonal Controllers
Enable SOME/IP communication on MCU-class zonal controllers without requiring a Linux-class SoC. MicroSOME provides a lightweight SOME/IP stack that runs natively on FreeRTOS, enabling service-oriented communication at the zonal edge.
Where MicroSOME Fits
MicroSOME can run on MCU-based zonal controllers, enabling communication with edge sensors, actuators and central compute through SOME/IP. MicroSOME can also run on resource-constrained sensor and actuator MCUs, enabling direct SOME/IP communication with zonal controllers or central compute where the architecture permits.

AUTOSAR Integration Support
Zilogic provides custom AUTOSAR integration and adaptation layer development for MicroSOME, enabling deployment within AUTOSAR-based systems. Proven across multiple customer programs.
Applications
- Sensor & Actuator Nodes - Lightweight SOME/IP over Automotive Ethernet
- Zonal Controllers - Service-oriented communication without a Linux-class SoC
- Multi-Actuator Modules - Seat, steering-column and similar systems
- Telematics & Connectivity Modules - SOME/IP integration alongside MQTT, DDS and other IP-based services.
- Off-Highway & Commercial Vehicles - SOME/IP without requiring an AUTOSAR stack
Coming Soon: Full-Stack Reference Design
Zilogic is developing a complete reference design on a 10BASE-TIS-capable target platform - MicroSOME paired with an integrated network stack, driver layer, DolP (Diagnostics over IP) and DLT (Diagnostic Log and Trace), providing OEMs with a complete communications and diagnostics stack to build applications on top of, without assembling the underlying layers themselves.
